USPF

United States Powerlifting Federation

The USPF emerged in the early 1970s as a branch of the AAU and became fully independent in 1981; by its own account it is the oldest US federation devoted only to powerlifting still in operation. It was the US member federation of the IPF until 1997, a WPF affiliate from 1998 to 2017, and has run its own world-meet division, Superior World Powerlifting, since 2019. More about USPF
